Palm Sunday

People crowded the streets and waved palm leaves as Jesus rode through the streets on a donkey. Peopleshouted and cheered "Hosanna"! They even put their coats out for the king to ride on.

Washing the Disciples feet

We talked about the second part of the Easter story in which Jesus washed the disciples feet. We tried this ourselves and Mrs Wass washed some of our feet. We talked about how we felt when our feet were being washed and how the disciples must have felt when Jesus washed their feet.

The Last Supper

We talked about how Jesus' friends felt having their last meal with Jesus. We learnt that Jesus shared bread and wine with his friends and asked his friends to remember him. We shared bread and blankcurrant juice. It was a sad day for his friends!

The Garden of Gethsemane

We made our own garden and reflected on how Jesus might have felt when he was praying and the soldiers came. We then wroteour own prayers.

The Denial

We looked at how Peter denied Jesus three times and then talked about if we have ever done something bad or we regret. We had a lovely discussion about how we could've made the right choice in that situation.

The Crucifixion

We heard about how Jesus was made to wear a crown of thorns upon his head and how he had to carry the cross he was about to be killed onthrough the streets. We talked about how Jesus might have felt when the crowd shouted nasty things to him and how hemight have felt knowing he was about to be crucified. Finally we placed sticks together to form the shape of a cross, reflecting on Jesus' thoughts and feelings.
