Junior Leadership Team
What is the JLT?
The Junior Leadership Team (JLT) is a group of children from Key Stage 2 that help to find out about our learning across school and feed back to the Senior Leadership Team. We have the important job of investigating the most effective ways that children learn and how they like to learn best. We are set different tasks each week to take back to our class and love being inventive in the ways that we get responses, whether it is using a 'no hands up', a class vote, or even making questionnaires to help improve the way we learn.
When we have found out the most effective ways of learning we help to make our learning even more fun, exciting and challenging by suggesting ways to improve what we do.
Who are the JLT members?
Children from years 3 to 6 make up the Junior Leadership Team and are supported by Mrs Hewitt.
The current representatives are:
Year 3: Charlie and Mahika
Year 4: Samiul and Eliyah
Year 5: Zakariyya and Laila
Year 6: Humaira and Ayaan
Fundraising for Clifton Creek Primary school
We have been watching Newsround and we have heard and seen lots of terrible news about the Australian bush fires. We were so affected by the pictures that we saw, we wanted to do something about it. We had an email from our Diocese to say that one of the schools, Clifton Creek Primary school, in Australia had been burnt to the ground. We thought about the children and how they must be feeling. We decided to raise some money to help them rebuild their school. We decided to ask people to sponsor a prayer and to donate a 'Pound for a Prayer' Every child in school has taken two flames home to write their own prayer and to ask someone at home to also write a prayer to involve our friends and families. People have been so thoughtful and the congregation at St George's church have also got involved. Our target is to raise £200.00 and we are just over half way there!
