Summer 2 Wisdom
Our value this half term is WISDOMChristians believe that true wisdom comes from God and as faith in God grows, wisdom grows too. In the Bible wisdom is seen both as a gift from God and a characteristic of God. In his parables Jesus taught that placing trust in God and recognising what is of value in life brings fulfilment. There are links to wisdom in other faiths and we will explore these through our worship. Through worship we will think about: How we are encouraged to act responsibly and think about wise choices in our words and actions. How we can acknowledge our own and other people’s sensible and wise choices. How we can show wise choices in our learning and learn more about wisdom and people who show good examples. Knowing the difference between being clever and being wise. Where do we hear words of wisdom? How do we respect the wisdom of parents and teachers? How do we grow our wisdom through our spiritual development? How do we learn to reflect on what is of real value in life?
We will look at stories in the Bible, links to other faiths and real life examples of where we see and experience wisdom to help us learn more and make choices of our own. |
