Science- The Digestive System
We have been learning about the human digestive system and what all the parts do. It has been very interesting learning that an adult small intestine is 6 metres long and the large intestine is 1.5 metres long!! How crazy is that?!
Our science lesson was very exciting this week as we modelled the journey of food down through the digestive system. It was fascinating to see how the banana and crackers were changed as it moved through the different parts using tights representing the intestines. It was a bit yukky but great fun!
ART WITH MRS TAYLOR
We have created some fantastic double page spreads based on the style of art from Andy Warhol and David Hockney linked to our geography learning challenge 'What is the impact of our angry Earth?' Our designs were so colourful and we had a great time painting in ink.
