Autumn 1 2023
Our Value for this Half-Term is Love
“Love your neighbor as yourself” Leviticus 19:18
As part of our value of love we have been looking at the different people that we love inside and outside of school and also discussed how we can show love to those people. We then wrote it down on a love heart for our worship table.
This Half-Term in Science we have been looking at different animals and insects and looking at their habitats we went outside into the small playground and found out where these habitats were and discussed why we thought the habitats were sutible for them. We then did a sorting task for all the things that are living and all the things that are not living.
We have enjoyed being back at forest school this Half term we have done lots of exciting things including climbing up the tree house, looking for insects and their habitats and swinging on the tire swing.
As part of our History learning about what was Hyde like in the past we have looked and compared buildings that are new and old. We have found out that the school is new however the church is old, we then drew these pictures and labeled the features of an old and new building.
As part of our RE learning we were looking at special books and wrote what books are special to us and why, we then drew a front cover of our favourite books. We also learnt that The Bible is the special book for Christians,
