In english we have started our new text called Varmint. We learnt that a Varmint is an irritating or obnoxious person or animal. We thought about what a Varmint might look like, using our imagination we thought about the colour, size and features we could use to create our own varmint. Take a look at some of our ideas.
After this we were shown what the Varmint really looked like!
Maths
In maths we have been looking at place value of numbers up to 1,000,0000.
We ordered and compared numbers
We partitioned numbers
Bikeability
Level 1 and 2 Bikeability
Year 5 enjoyed their Bikeability lessons .In level 1, they learned how to maintain our bike, glide, control and pedal our bikes without feeling wobbly or out of control.
Some children gained their Level 2, they had to learn how to ride on the roads safely.
