This term we have been working really hard to deepen our Maths understanding around Spatial Language, Shape, and Size. |

As we move away from 'Ella's Rainbow' in Story Steps, we have been introduced to a new and exciting story called 'Storm on the Farm'. Story Steps continues to be present within our weekly timetable as it allows us to continue to act out immersive story adventures as a class. It also helps to create a collaborative atmosphere as we help each other to descibe the story cards provided by each story. |

During our Summer Term we are focusing on Tennis within our weekly PE sessions. Tennis helps us to stengthen our hand - eye co - ordination skills as we learn how to balance the balloon or shuttlecock on the racket whilst moving around the PE hall. Tennis also helps to build our resilence and to develop our awareness to never give up! |

As we strenghten our English knowledge throughout the SummerTerm, we are continuing to work on composing our own setences independently. As well as looking closely at our letter formation and improving our fine motor skills. |

Week beginning 13th April - Zacchaues the Tax Collector. This week we have been learning about 'Zac the Tax Collector', understanding how to be an honest friend within our classroom environment. To help us understand and recognise key features within the story, we created our own money tree. We explored coins before painting our own tree using appropriate colours, we then adding our own coins along with Zacchaues waiting in the tree. |

Week beginning 20th April - The Story of St George. This week we have been celebrating the achievements of St George, highlighting his brave and couragous personality for saving the princess. To celebrate St Goerge's Day, we created our own England Flag using white card and red tissue paper in the shape of a cross within the middle of page. |

Week Beginning 27th April - Safari. This week we have been having a look at all the different animals you might find the Safari. We have been listening to Safari music along with creating our own giraffe using different colour tissue paper to represent the giraffe's short, fine hair. |

Week beginning 4th May - Under the Sea. This week we have been exploring all the different animals we might find when we head to the Sea Life Centre for our school trip! We have also been writing our own sentences using the sentence starter 'I can see...'. |
||
|
Week beginning 11th May - The Life Cycle of a Butterfly. Our theme for this week involves looking at 'The Life Cyle of a Butterfly', recognising the 4 key features within the cycle. We have been listening to and watching lots of different coloured butterflies on our telly, linking our understanding together and naming all the colours we could see. |
