Throughout our Maths lessons we have been working together to recognise and understand the fundermental skills of subtraction. Through the use of concrete representations, this allows us to mimic the physical taking away of blocks to help us to visually see the 'total amount' at the end of each subtraction number sentence. |

Throughout our Phoncis and English lessons we are continuing to work on our pencil grip and letter formation. As well as working on our recognition of sounds, this helps us to blend and segment our sounds together and help us with our spelling! |

With the sun shining bright, we have been making the most of our outdoor spaces! Some of our favourite things to do are bouncing on the trampoline and running around on our church field. |

This term our PE lessons have consisted of learning a new sport, Hockey! Each week we are continuing to develop our control and hand-eye co-ordination skills. Alongwith all the different safety aspects such as keeping our hockey sticks firmly on the floor. |

It's Spanish Day! To celebrate Spanish Day we all wore the colours of the Spanish Flag, red or yellow. |

Week Beginning 28th April - Farm Week. This week we had a very speical guest come and visit us in our class, Arnie. In preparation to visiting the farm, we took turns in carefully stroking Arnie! |

On Friday 2nd May, we visited Lancaster Farm! We had so much fun visiting and petting all the different animals. |

It's VE Day! In memory of World War 2 ending 80 years ago, we created our own flags and waved them high in the sky. |

Week Beginning 12th May - Dinosaur Week. Our theme for this week has been Dinosaurs! We have been completing lots of exciting learning. |

Week Beginning 19th May - Water Week. This week our theme has been water! We have been developing our understanding around the different animals that live in our water. We have also been experimenting with straws and creating our own bubbles, POP! |
