Summer 1 2025
Let all that you do be done in Love
1 Corinthians 16:14
This half term we will be exploring the question:
SPANISH DAY
We had such a lovely day for our class Spanish Day and enjoyed sharing our learning with all our parents. It was such a great turn out! Your support is always appreciated. We had a great time preparing for our tapas feast in the afternoon. We chopped, grated, mashed, mixed, stirred, peeled, sliced all morning. Some children were particularly amazing at this so make sure you get them to help you out in the kitchen at home. No excuses now! Have a look at the selection of photographs from our day in the images below. Thank you.
SCIENCE- SOUND
We have enjoyed our science learning this half term. It is all about sound and we are VERY good at making noise so it is perfect for us. We have been investigating different vocabulary and describing how we hear things. We have observed what happens when we bang a drum with rice on it, twang a ruler on the edge of the desk and place a recently banged tuning fork into a bowl of water.
We have also been enjoying creating sounds on the computer using Busy Beats.
MUSIC- In our music lesson with Mr Roast we have been learning about music notation and writing this down. It was quite tricky.
MULTIPLICATION TABLES CHECK MEETING
Thanks to all the parents who came to the meeting to hear more about the upcoming government times tables check which is due to take place after the Whit holidays. Hopefully you found this informative and the resource pack should be helpful for your child to improve their recall of the table facts with increasing speed. We have been playing some of the games in class and also trying out the practice webpage from gov.uk.
