This half term we will be exploring the question:

Hope
We are thinking about our value hope. We will be thinking about how we hope and why it is important to be hopeful. We will be looking at stories from the bible to help us understand more about what it means and how we can develop this value within ourselves.
We have been exploring our classroom and getting to know our new friends. We read the story 'Owl Babies' and talked about how our parents always come back every day to pick us up. We used toy owls to re-tell the story, saying the repeated refrain 'I want my Mummy!' We have been singing '5 Little Ducks', and playing with the rubber ducks in the water tray, Mummy Duck always goes to find her ducklings.
We have been learning the names of different parts of our bodies and face. We have made portraits in a variety of different ways.
We enjoyed having our families come in so that we could share our learning with them. We read Pete the Cat, I Love My White Shoes, and made cats together. It was fantastic fun showing them what we like to do at Nursery.
