Our value this half term is Love

This half term we will be exploring the value of LOVE. Love is a verb! The Bible teaches us that Jesus calls his people to love others through their actions and words, something which he demonstrated continuously throughout his life and teachings. Christians call tis type of love Agape, a practical love that reflects the love God has for his people.

‘We love, because God first loved us’ John 4:19

Through Collective Worship, we will be thinking about how, as a school:

we promote our vision, ‘Let all that you do be done in love.’

we will promote the golden rule – to love one another as God has loved us.

we help children to understand that God wants us to share our love and to show that love is an action.

we help children to understand how they can play their part in helping to make peoples’ lives better.

we help children to understand how they are citizens of the world, and that this citizenship brings challenges and responsibilities.
