Good to be Green

Good to be Green is part of our Behaviour Policy. Each half term those children who have stayed stayed in the green zone every day for the whole half term, are rewarded. These treats are varied and have included: a dvd with popcorn, trip to the park with ice lollies, cooking, forest school activities, making scarecrows and toasting marshmallows.

Summer 2

151 children got certificates.

This was the best time! The children enjoyed the bouncy obstacle course and the weather was perfect. We all enjoyed an ice lolly at the end to cool down!

Summer 1

Last term (Summer1) we had years 1-6 enjoy outdoor activities in the church grounds with help from the sports coach, Mike.

Years 1 and 2, then 3 and 4 played games and did an obstacle course, finished off with an ice lolly and years 5 and 6 did the same the day after when Year 6 were back from Hollowford.Years 5 and 6 are wearing pyjamas because we were raising money for Macmillan.

141  earned the treat  this time and we were blessed with glorious sunshine.

Spring 2

140 children got a certificate today for good behaviours this half term, they enjoyed a Scavenger Hunt outside and got a little bag of chocolate eggs for a treat!

Spring 1

134 children enjoyed treats around Chinese New Year. We made dragons, lanterns, cherry blossom tree pictures, origami dogs for the Year of the Dog and had a go at Chinese writing!

We had a lot of fun with Chinese music in the background and a drink and fortune cookies at the end.Year 5 an 6 had a relay race using sweets and chopsticks - which was very exciting!

Well done for those who got the treat!!

Autumn 2

The Good to be Green treat took place as we came back to school after the Christmas Holidays. The children did a carousel of games in the Hall, computers and Hama beads. 144 children achieved it this time. Well done!

Autumn 1

121 children from Years 1-6 received a certificate for Good to Be Green! The weather was lovely so we iced biscuits outside (bonfire on a biscuit!) using fairtrade kitkats as logs. After toasting and eating a marshmallow which was "crispy on the outside and nice and gooey on the inside" we made leaf art pictures. Years 5 and 6 played benchball and Years 1 and 2 and 3 and 4 had sports games in the Hall.

We had a great time!!
