Ethos Conference 2019

Hope and Aspirations

Our Ethos Conference 2019 was our fifth very successful event. The theme for our conference was ‘Hope and Aspirations’. We invited schools from our local area and also from within the Chester Diocese. Some schools came from as far as Tilston and Tarporley. Overall, we had about 100 children taking part in a day filled with fun activities.

Comments on the day:

"I think it was a great day with a real mix of activities"

"Thank you for our wonderful experience"

"My children thought the singing was amazing!"

"it gave us great food for thought and to make positive changes to our Ethos group."

Exploring the values

We made new friends learning together and doing lots of fun activities. We learnt a new song, ‘City on a Hill’ which we all sang together in worship at the end of the day. We made mini-me key rings showing our hopes and dreams for what we wanted to be in the future and we made clay models to show our aspirations. We also made some leaf art outdoors using different Bible quotes. The day started and ended with worship to reflect on our hopes and aspirations for the future. We learnt lots about each other and even more about ourselves.

What our children thought:

"We really enjoyed meeting new friends and organising the different activities" - Tanjila

"It was a great day exploring the values and sharing them with different people. I hope I will be able to meet some of them again in their schools" - Michelle
