Opening the Spiritual Garden

Our last day of term was made extra special with a visit from Bishop Libby, the Bishop of Stockport. She came especially to open our spiritual garden designed and created by the Ethos group for everyone in the school to use.

The Bishop joined us for a whole school worship to pray for the garden. Bishop Libby was very impressed with our singing and how we share our prayers together. The Bishop then blessed the garden with the Ethos group and cut the ribbon to open the Spiritual Garden. Even though it was a very wet day, the weather didn’t put us off. It was a very special occasion and we were very proud to have such a special visitor in our school. We were also joined by some of our Governors and some of our children from last year, who helped to design the garden, also came to mark the occasion.

Everyone in school now uses the garden to pray, to sit quietly or talk to friends or to simply reflect. We use our windows mirrors and doors to help us think about our values.
