Extra curricular music
Music club runs on a Tuesday for everyone who loves music and wants to explore different instruments and making music together. Mr Halligan works with a group of musicians who will play together as a small band and will perform their music for different audiences. this group includes guitars, drumming, 'GarageBand', vocals and whatever else it takes.
Mrs Mckeown teaches keyboard and combines this with vocals learning chords and simple melodies to popular songs.
Mr Halligan also teaches guitar for individual children who show a particular interest and commitment to learning to play an instrument.
Choir
Choir meets every Thursday lunch time for anyone who loves singing. we sing anything anyone wants to sing as well as practising songs for performances. We encourage solos and smalll groups to build confidence and sing in parts and songs with simple harmonies.
Whenever we can we like to perform for others: At Christmas and other times throughout the year we sing at the residential homes in our local area. This year we also sang at the over 80s Christmas party at Hyde Town Hall.
