Live Nativity and Carol Service

We were very proud of our children this weekend for taking part in the Live Nativity and the carol service at St George’s church.

The Live Nativity was organised by the ‘Hyde Churches Together’ to bring different faiths and communities together in the retelling of the Christmas story on Saturday 16th December. The story started with singing from the children and then continued with a re-telling of the Christmas story at different points around Hyde centre. Costumes, carols and readings brought to life the story of Christmas. The service ended in the Methodist Church again with the children singing brilliantly. Everyone commented on how well the children behaved and how beautifully they sang. We were very proud of them all and thank you to all our parents who followed the Live Nativity around and Hyde and shared in the service at the end. This was a true community event and it was great to see the churches and people in the community brought together.

The children made us very proud once again with their singing at the carol service at St George’s church on Sunday 17th December. We sang songs from our Christmas production ‘Bethlehem the Musical’ and joined in with traditional carols in the service. Nicole and Joel read their readings beautifully retelling events of the Christmas story. It was lovely again to see so many of our parents and staff at the service and of course enjoying the mince pies and mulled wine at the end of the service!

It was a busy weekend but we were very proud to be part of these two events in sharing the story of Christmas. Well done to all the children who took part and to all the parents and friends who supported the children.
