Worship Song Challenge
This is an invitation from the diocese to take part in a ‘worship song challenge.’ Taking your favourite worship song as the theme, reflect this in whatever way you want. This is an opportunity to be as creative and imaginative as you wish, it can be a piece of art, a drawing, a painting, a poem, a photo, a short film or anything else that you can think of. It could be based around the whole song, it’s title or a line or verse of the song. It’s really is up to you. Think about our displays in school or the work you have done for your values homework.
Once you have created your piece of artwork, take a picture, write the title of the song and write a brief description of what it shows. Email your pictures to Mrs Hewitt music@st-georges-hyde.tameside.sch.uk
I look forward to seeing how creative you can be !
Mrs Walker

I hope you are all still keeping well and enjoying the sunshine safely.
Most of you will know Mrs Ratcliffe as the teaching assistant in our Nursery. Mrs Ratcliffe has been working in the nursery at St George's for over 40 years !! That is a fantastic achievement and I' m sure she has seen lots of changes in that time. However she has decided to retire and so next week will be her last week working with us. We will be very sad to see her go, but she will still be helping with the Stay and Play group and the Friday ladies group.
In the current situation we can't do a big celebration and send off as we would have liked to do, but we will do something for her later in the year.
If any of you would like to send a message or card or anything at all into school for Mrs Ratcliffe, we will ensure she gets them by the end of next week. I'm sure lots of you and your children will have very fond memories of Mrs Ratcliffe and will want to wish her well in her retirement.
Take care and I hope to see you very soon!

Dear grown-ups and children,
I have created a pack with a selection of Year 3 activities, challenges and resources to work on whilst school is closed. I have included in the pack an exercise book for your child to keep a diary, record their learning and practice their writing.
I will be setting regular challenges on MyMaths and Purple Mash for the children to complete and hope to keep in contact with you whilst school is closed.
Try to keep up with your reading on a daily basis and remember that there are many activities that can be done outdoors too, such as walks along the canal, the park and many other places not too far away!
I will add more documents to this page as often as possible and will keep in touch with you all as often as possible.
Looking forward to seeing you soon!
Mr Nuttall

Don't forget the 5 Ways to Wellbeing. The children are very familiar with these, and although they may need to be think of different ways of doig things - thay can all still be done. They could all be lovely family activities too - talking a walk in your neighbourhood, playing a game together, looking online together for charity you want to donate to, baking biscuits and leaving them on the doorsteps of your neighbours, facetiming grandparents or other family members, use online sites to help you learn about somewhere new.
