All Stars Cricket Programme

During the Summer term, 48 of our Year 1, Year 2 and Year 3 children successfully completed the All Stars cricket programme funded by the England Cricket Board. The children took part in an 8 week course learning new cricket skills – bowling, batting, catching and fielding. They had an amazing time and played in all weathers from bright sunshine to pouring rain! We had some amazing batters and fantastic bowlers and some definite all-rounders!

Over the weeks the children improved their skills and took part in small games to practise playing together ready for bigger games in the future. Each child was given their very own kit bag including a t-shirt and cap, ruck sack, bat and ball. All the children looked amazing in their All Stars cricket gear!

The children have now been invited to play at various clubs in the local area and hopefully will be inspired to take up the sport in the future.
