Year 2 Letter

Unbelievably, we are in the Summer term already.  Just a few reminders.

Please try to hear your child read as much as possible – at least 10 minutes every day.  This will help them with fluency as well as confidence when reading larger pieces of text like the ones in the SATS Reading Tests.

PE is still every Monday and Wednesday. Please ensure your child has PE kit in school at all times on these days and that all items are labelled with their names!

A lot of the homework will be looking through and discussing where your child made mistakes in  the Maths, Reading and Spelling and Punctuation papers.  We are also looking at questions that most of the children got wrong and focusing on those again.  Please do not keep these papers at home.  Make sure you send in back in their homework books every Wednesday. The SATS can take place any time between the beginning of May to the end of May.  The children can be taken out in smaller groups so that it is less daunting for them.  If you have any questions regarding any of the information above or any other concerns then please come into school to see me.  I am usually available on Monday after school and most mornings.

Thanks for your support
