We are so excited about our new big question for the Spring Term

'Why was Bagdad such an important city in 900AD?'

Service

Our value this half term is service. We have started by thinking about what it means to serve someone and the qualities required to serve someone. We created our own WWJD (What Would Jesus Do?) badges to remind us to act like Jesus as well as how we can follow his teachings.

Science

We began our science topic by completing an investigation about the adaptation of the Finches beaks based on Charles Darwin's theory. We then began to think about characteristics which we inherit from our parents. We paired up chromosones from a Mum and Dad Reebop to create our own baby Reebop! We really enjoyed making them and thinking about how the different characteristics can change from parents to their offspring. 

More recently, we have been learning about the circulatory system and the role of the heart and the importance of the digestive system!

Learning Challenge

We are looking at the importance of the House of Wisdom during the Early Islamic Civilisation. After doing our own research, we are creating some amazing double page spreads to present our learning!
