Here is our learning for Spring 1, although it might look different to normal due to us being in lockdown and completing our learning at home. We are all using our Growth Mindset as we learn new skills to help us to access our learning! Keep persevering and enjoy the website as a way to share our learning with each other.
We have been thinking about our value of Responsibility and what responsibility means. We have expressed our thoughts through poetry.
We are enjoying seeing your houses which you are sending to us for the hall display on our new school value of responsibility as well as reading your ideas for how we can show responsibility in the home.

We have made gold coins for Mrs Hewitt's display in the hall. These show how we use our talents wisely and responsibly. Our Talent is God's gift to us and what we do with it is our gift to God.
We are enjoying reading our own copies of 'Alfie Bloom and the Secrets of Hexbridge Castle.'
We used our noticing skills to read a character description and depict this as a piece of artwork. We have also successfully studied the text to find more about the character.
Year 6 planted some bulbs in our part of the garden in the Autumn and we are very excited that they have grown. We will keep inspecting them over the next few weeks.
In music, Mr Halligan showed us how to compose a piece of music using music lab. Click on the link to listen to the music some of us have created.
We found making these 3D oval sculptures from cereal boxes tricky but we persevered!
Mrs Taylor set us the challenge to create a piece of monochrome artwork. We were very pleased with our resulting images.
Collective Worship Response
We enjoyed doing our collective worship response to our value of responsibility this week although it was different to normal. Most of the children were at home and a few in school so it was done through zoom. Although it felt strange, everyone remembered when it was their turn to speak and will still managed to share our ideas about responsibility successfully.
In science, we have been looking at the five vertebrate groups: mammals, fish, birds, reptiles and amphibians. We have created our own imaginary creature using the characteristics to match one of the vertebrate groups.
